Lone indie developer collaborating with volunteers, how to keep boards safe?

I'm just a one man independent developer, but I want to collaborate with volunteers on my project. I could buy premium for myself if I need to, but there's no way I can afford to buy it for a whole team.

My question is, how do I keep my project boards safe from the potential of defacement, deletion, etc. if I open it up to volunteers being able to contribute?

There has been many questions raised about board member's edit permission on the forum. However, there are no such intra-board restrictions other than the observer permission available on the premium plan. Note that for the plans, there is no subscription fee for single board guest.
