Hi,
I am trying to use advanced search syntax in the Trello search, but it does not seem to work. I have read the Trello page on search, but it does not have logic statements: https://help.trello.com/article/808-searching-for-cards-all-boards. I also saw this information on the Jira search that does include advanced search: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-core-cloud/docs/search-syntax-for-text-fields/
Particularly, I would like to search using OR and AND statements with groups. For example, I would like to see all cards that are mine or have no members and are overdue, so I should be able to search "(-member OR @Kevin Read) AND due:overdue" but this does not work. Is it possible to do more advanced search in Trello?
Thank you.
@Kevin W the logic in the trello search across all boards is always "and" (when you search/filter within a board it's "or"). You'd have to just do 2 searches. BTW to negate any members you need to use -has:members
Thank you for your reply. I understand your answer. I wish we could use OR logic across boards.
My goal using advanced search is to create my version of a dashboard with all my cards (and cards that have no member, which are generally mine) that are overdue or due in the next day. I like Trello, but the reason I have not adopted it for my departments is that there is no go way to see everything I need to do across all my boards. I need that top level view of tasks needing attention.

@Kevin W I found the same problem, which is one of the reasons I built BenkoBoard:
https://trello.com/integrations/#benkoboard
it creates a single board where all cards you're added to reside, linked back to the original, so you can prioritise your tasks across all boards (like an enhanced Cards view). It also unwatches cards you're added to so you only get notified about being added to a card, mentioned in a comment or removed, and has Gmail integration so you can send and receive emails from within Trello.
If you also need to periodically fetch all cards across all boards that have no members, and maybe add yourself to them so they go back to your BenkoBoard, and then also add yourself to any overdue cards at the same time, you could have this Trellinator function run every day at 7am, for example:
