Inviting Users to Boards or Team without Initiating an Automatic Email

Does anyone know if there's a way to invite a current Trello user to a board or team without the automatic email invitation?

I am looking to invite a co-worker to a number of new boards, and I'd rather not overwhelm her inbox with those automatic email notifications. I simply need her to have access to the newly created boards/teams.

There used to be an option to customize the message and I think you could pick or choose whether or not to send the message, but that ability has gone away.
