In Trello, how do we make a card larger and have discussion visible while on the board?

Clifford October 3, 2018

When I am on a board, there are numerous cards on numerous lists. sometimes I would like more than just the first line of the "Description" on the card visible. Anyone know how to do that?

Hi Clifford! What other details would you like to see when you first open a board? Also, have you tried the Custom Fields power-up? It allows you to add more context to cards, and there's an option to make them visible on the front of the card.

I would like to have some background facts about each board readily visible when I go to that board. When I get a lot of boards, I get them confused. It would be great to get some background about that board

Since cards are small by design, it may be difficult to display information on the front of the card without them becoming long and cluttered. But you can share your idea with the Trello team as feedback, if you'd like.

Power-ups can be super helpful in extending the functionality of Trello's features. If I need to see more details about a board or card, I tend to default to these two:

  • Custom fields power-up for additional card info
  • Read Me power-up for the ability to write and display what a board is about
