If a team account in Trello (free) is deleted and I have private boards do I lose my data?

If I'm an admin but not the account 'owner' and the account 'owner' leaves/deletes the team account, but I have private boards, do I lose my private boards/access to them?

This is a free account and I've created private boards to make sure I have my own information / not lose it.  I'm looking for a solution to make sure I don't lose 2 years worth of data/work that I own (but a freelancer created the account and this is my company).

If not possible, is there a way to carry over a board to a completely new account?

Hey Amy!

When a team is deleted, any boards within the team will automatically convert to personal boards, instead of team boards. The boards won't be automatically deleted!
