Fairly new to Trello and just upgraded to Premium to be able to back up our data but you still can't download everything on your Workspace.  Looks like we need to enable a Power Up but are they safe if they aren't supported by Trello?

Hello, Grappenhall!

Welcome to the community!

Regarding the safety of Power-Ups, Trello has a review process for all Power-Ups submitted to their platform. This process helps ensure that they meet certain standards and guidelines, which you can find detailed in the links you provided. The review process aims to maintain a level of security and quality for users.

Here are a few points to consider when using Power-Ups:

  1. Review Process: All Power-Ups go through a review process to ensure they comply with Trello's standards. This helps mitigate risks associated with using third-party tools.

  2. Guidelines: Trello has established guidelines that developers must follow before submitting their Power-Ups. This includes considerations for user data, performance, and security.

  3. User Reviews: Before enabling a Power-Up, you can check user reviews and ratings. This can give you insight into the experiences of other Trello users with that Power-Up.

  4. Data Privacy: Always review the privacy policy of any Power-Up you consider using. Ensure that you are comfortable with how your data will be handled.

  5. Official Power-Ups: If you're concerned about safety, you might want to prioritize using Power-Ups that are officially developed or endorsed by Trello, as they are more likely to adhere to Trello's security standards.

All power-ups that are submitted go through a review process which you can find here:
    https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/trello/guides/power-ups/submitting-your-power-up/#power-up-review-process

and we have a set of guidelines that we heavily recommend that they follow before even submitting:

    Kind Regards
