I am in my board and it shows an " X" amount of cards for todays date but they are not viewable.

in the top right corner, there might be a green button if the filter id on, just click the close icon next to it and the filter will be canceled!

You might have filtered the board so you are not able to see any cards!
OR
it might be a cache problem!
You have to clear cache & data from your app/browser and re-login to your account! I hope it will solve your problem!
