How to set up email alerts for activity on items in a board

I would like to receive an email alert for every comment that is added to an item on each board - how do I set this up? I have assigned myself and the other user to the items but we don't seem to get alerts when either of us comment on the items. Thank you

Hey @Claire Djemal have you tried tagging each other in the comments. type @ and then enter the name of the person you want to notify, and select them when you see it.

Also are you getting any email notification from Trello? If not then check you have them turned on and configured how you like them to be. More info here
