How to post the cards in certain list into slack

Hi guys, I would like to set automation report into slack.

What I want to is,,,

  • Every day at 4pm
  • Count the number of cards in list A or list B
  • Post the number of it on slack

Like

Bot: sending the reoprt as today.

  • Incoming list: 5 cards
  • On progress list: 3 cards
  • Done list: 25 cards

Anyone could help this?

If it is hard to count the number of cards in list, the following one is also fine.

In coming

  1. card A
  2. card B

On progress

  1. card C
  2. card D

Thank you so much in advance!

Hi Yoshie,

Thanks for reaching out!

Right now, there isn't a way to get the number of cards in a list (i.e count) via Butler. That said, I understand how this could be helpful, so I've flagged this as a feature request with the product team.

If it helps, you could see this visually using the Dashcards Power-Up: https://trello.com/power-ups/6048e897c73d032a983e2a7c

That said, you can definitely set up a report that's sent to Slack which shows you list name and list of cards:

You can read more about reports here: https://help.trello.com/article/1192-creating-reports-with-butler; and you can customize the report using variables: https://help.trello.com/article/1157-variables

Please let us know if you have any other questions, and we'll be happy to help.

All the best,

Lara

Hello @Lara ! I am trying to achieve exactly what you recommended, however I cannot seem to find the part where I can send the report through Slack and not email (see attached). Slack is activated on my board though :/

Hi Mariano,

To post the message to Slack, you'll need to click into the Slack actions and create your message from there:

Hope that helps!
