I receive a request from a client via e-mail in my list and I need to make sure that after the request is found, this request is automatically sent to the client by e-mail. How can this be organized?
P.S. The email is in the description of the card.
Hey John,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
To automate the process of sending an email response to a client after their request is received and processed in Trello, you can use a combination of Trello's features and third-party automation tools like Trello core automation or any external tools for instance Zapier. In your Trello board, set up a dedicated list where all client requests are collected. This helps in segregating and tracking these requests efficiently.
Tools like Zapier or the Core Automation feature in Trello are great for setting up custom workflows. Zapier can monitor your specific list in Trello for new cards. Once a new request is detected, Zapier can trigger an action to send an email. You'll need to set up a Zap that connects Trello with your email service (like Gmail or Outlook). In the Zap, specify that when a new card is added to your 'Client Requests' list, an email should be sent to the address specified in the card's description.
You can create a rule in Trello Automation to trigger an email when a card is added to your specific list. However, Trello has some limitations compared to Zapier, especially in scalability aspects regarding the number of users you'd like to share the email with, You can try and use {carddescription} variable on your rule to fetch that information. https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/butler-variables/
Do let me know if you've more questions. I'd be happy to help.
