I'm a new user. My client requested that I sign up for Trello to participate. I put in my own credit card number. I see how to delete account, but I'm concerned that if I do, I will no longer be able to use the system as part of the team who created a separate account.

Indeed, if you delete your account, you'd no longer be able to log into Trello to access that team.
