How do i make it so non-board-members can not add cards/boards.

So i have a public trello that i will use for adding ideas to my game and i have a invite link but anyone who clicks it is able to delete/edit cards and i have no idea how to turn this off, please help.

When you use the "Invite people by giving them a special link..." option under the invite tab, just give them the URL to the board instead. This way, you're not adding them as a member to the board, instead they can view it only since it's a public board.

Yes, exactly. That way you’re not having them join the board as a member, only view it.
