How do I view my cards in calendar mode?

I am trying to use Trello to plan my homeschool and am trying to figure out how to put my cards on the calendar. Right now I just have days of the week, but no dates or calendar view. I did get a calendar power up. FYI right now I'm just in free mode.

The cards appear in the calendar based on their DUE DATE.  So you'd need to add due dates to the cards to see them in the calendar view.
