How do I remove people from a free board on a mac?

Hi we are using the free trello board. We have team members who have left our organisation but I can't seem to remove them from the board. In the help section it says to click on their icon next to their name and then remove but the icons are not clickable for me. Is this because I am on a mac?

I'm not sure about the "Mac" part, but are the persons in question "normal" board members or are they "admin" members? When I ran into a similar problem in the past, I remember being told that an admin account is the only one able to add/remove other administrators from a board. So if you're not a board "admin", you won't be able to do it.

If it's not question of normal/admin status, then sorry, I don't know the answer.
