How can I customize my Jira Powerup so that issues are created on a specific project?

Adam Gazaleh March 6, 2020

I have the Jira Powerup in Trello, and I want to customize it so that a user on the Trello board can only create a specific Jira issue type on a specific board. I don't want them to be able to access other projects or issue types.

If I cannot do this with the Jira Powerup are there other Powerups I can use?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Adam,

Normally, your Trello user will have the same permission as the matching Jira user on your Jira instance.

If you have set up your permissions on Jira so that this user can only access a specific project and issue type, then it will be reflected as well in Trello in the Power-Up.

You'll need to make sure that user only has the Browse Project and Create Issue permissions on the Jira project they need to use and set up issue-level security on that project as well (see https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/configuring-issue-level-security-776636711.html)
