In Butler I'm setting it so that when a due date is completed it renames the card:
when the due date is marked as complete in a card by anyone, rename the card to "\"✔️ {cardname}\""
All this does is add the nifty little check mark before the card title. HOWEVER, my problem is I want that check mark GONE if they uncheck the due date.
There is the trigger option in Butler to perform an action for when the due date is marked incomplete but I cannot figure out how to use this to remove the check mark and set the card title back to the original. Please help, I would think it's simple, maybe I'm missing something basic.
Thanks,
Michael
Hi Michael! Welcome to the community 😊 I had a little play around in Butler and couldn't find an easy way to write something along the lines of "when a due date is marked incomplete, remove "X" from the title of the card".
What's the purpose of adding the ✅ emoji to the titles of cards? Is it just a visual cue for you and the team? As an alternative, would adding/removing a green label or sticker work?
So the idea would be to have a rule that says "when a due date is completed, add the green label to the card". And another rule to remove the label when the due date is marked as incomplete. You could even add the ✅ to the label if you wanted, so it'd look like this:
