Use case: As a user, I want to open a Trello card, and then immediately navigate from there to the GitHub pull request (PR) that's linked on the card, which was added via the GitHub power-up (https://trello.com/power-ups/55a5d916446f517774210004/github).
Problem: After opening a Trello card that has a linked PR, under the "GitHub Pull Requests" heading, the text "Loading..." is typically displayed for several seconds before that text is replaced with the link to the PR, along with summary information about the PR.
I assume the delay is being caused by Trello contacting GitHub to retrieve the latest data about the PR; it's understandable that this will often take a little time.
HOWEVER, it would be a lot more efficient if, while that data is loading, the link to the PR would be displayed (without the summary information being displayed yet). That way, the user can immediately click through to the card's PR without having to wait for the summary information to be fully loaded.
Thanks for listening! :-)
Experiencing the same issue in 2024; screenshot attached.
Hi Jonathan,
That's a really great point, thanks for bringing it up! I'll make sure to pass it along to the team for their consideration!
