Hi , I am totally new to Trello so i am unsure if this is a bug or it meant to be this way.
A user has brought to my attention that when sharing something in Trello that you see external users that are not part of our organization and feels its a safety issue where we could share our Trello boards with externals, by mistake. If someone could confirm this it would be great.
Please see example bellow
If you have the Enterprise plan then you can restrict sharing with people outside your organization https://trello.com/guide/enterprise/manage-permissions
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
This is normal... "Share" a board is actually "Give Access to board" and Trello have a global list of all users in the world.
So be extra carefull when you search that you find the right user and not someone that have a similar name (in fact I will say the mostsecure way is to share by typing in an email instead of a name)
Example of search from my private board
