Email to board doesn't seem to trigger notifications

I am watching a list where new cards are directed for the email to board option. New cards created directly in Trello trigger a notification. Those cards created by the email to board, do not trigger a notification.

As far as I know it does not. If you look at the notification help page you will probably see that email to board does not satisfy any of those conditions.
