Hi all, I just started using the desktop app for trello, and the shortcuts seem extremely useful, however they don't seem to work unless the desktop app is running. This seemed incorrect to me, since one of the shortcuts is to Launch the trello app. That lead me to believe it had to be running.
Does the X button fully shutdown the trello app? Can I set it to run in the background so I can use the desktop apps without it being in the foreground?
Thanks!
Hi PrinceAzura, welcome to the community! :)
Sounds like you're on MacOS? Let me know if you're on Windows.
From my research and testing, it appears that you need to have the app running. That said, it should be possible to have it running in the background - so you can then make use of the shortcuts if needed.
For example, on my Mac - if I hit the red X icon in the top left hand corner, this closes the app - but doesn't force quit it. Meaning that while on another app - I can use Command + Option + T to launch Trello where I left off.
Let me know if this works for you, and if you run into any issues.
