Hi guys
I am interested in upgrading Trello from free to premium, but I have a few questions. Can you help me answer them?
1. Does Trello have a domain for company domains, such as Trello.company.com?
2. Can I share the URL with guests to create issue cards?
3. Can Trello send notifications to Microsoft Teams when members organize boards?
Thank you.
Hi @motiftech
While Trello doesn't support custom domains like (link unavailable), it offers alternative features to meet your needs:
Trello provides a Workspace feature, acting as a central hub for your organization's boards and teams, allowing you to consolidate and manage multiple projects.
For external collaboration, Trello enables sharing board URLs with guests, granting access to create cards without requiring a Trello account. Options include:
- Public boards with shared URLs
- Inviting guests as board members
- Share buttons for view-only or editing access
Additionally, Trello integrates with Microsoft Teams, sending notifications when members organize boards. Setup options include:
- Integrating Trello with Microsoft Teams through Power-Ups
- Using webhooks for custom notification configurations
2.Using a third-party automation tool like Zapier:
Additional benefits of upgrading to Trello Premium:
To get started with integrating Trello and Microsoft Teams, you can add the Trello app from the Microsoft AppSource Marketplace. This will allow you to access Trello boards, create cards, and receive notifications directly within Teams
Integrate Trello with Microsoft Teams for enhanced collaboration and productivity. Two integration options are available:
Option 1: Trello App for Microsoft Teams
Add the Trello app to your Teams workspace, configure notifications for specific boards or actions, and receive updates directly in your Teams channels.
Option 2: Third-Party Automation Tool (Zapier)
Create a custom automation using Zapier: trigger actions in Trello, and send messages to Microsoft Teams channels.
Upgrading to Trello Premium unlocks additional benefits:
To begin integrating Trello and Microsoft Teams, download the Trello app from the Microsoft AppSource Marketplace. This integration enables seamless access to Trello boards, card creation, and notifications within Teams – to learn more - Trello for Teams (microsoft.com) and Trello for Microsoft Teams Review: Productivity to the Power of Two - UC Today

Hello Humashankar
Thanks for the clear answer. I have few questions about user licenses.
1. For example: My board has 10 members (Standard level). Then I share the URL to guests and they join my board. So the total charge is 10 licenses, right?
2. Could Standard level users export their boards to Excel files?
Thank you.

Hi @motiftech
Thank you for your inquiries about Trello's user licenses and export capabilities.
I'd be happy to clarify.
Regarding licensing for guest users, rest assured that sharing a Trello board URL with guests allows them to join and view without requiring additional paid licenses.
Your total charge remains for the 10 Standard level members only, as guest users have limited permissions and aren't counted towards your paid license count.
Concerning Excel export capabilities for Standard level users, note that direct export to Excel files isn't available. However, Standard users can:
- Export boards as JSON files, convertible to other formats with technical expertise
- Utilize the Print and Export feature to create a PDF of the board
