Do Dropbox Docs update automatically on Trello with the dropbox power up?

Hi,

i am just checking if Dropbox docs will update automatically on trello? I have the Dropbox power up on my board and I have updated a couple of Dropbox documents but the updated docs don't seem to be showing in Trello. Do I need to upload the new Dropbox docs to replace the old versions?

Hi Arianna,

Are you attaching the file directly from Dropbox? In that case, you're attaching a link to the file on Dropbox, not the file itself, so clicking the link takes you to the document on Dropbox, and any updates to that doc will be reflected.

If you're using iOS, though, this does work a little differently, where you can attach the file from Dropbox, but that's just iOS's data source, and it does pass the file itself to Trello as an attachment. In a case like that, any updates you make to the original file won't be reflected on Trello.
