@Tom Mitchell-Taverner you can use Butler due date rules to create more flexible notifications, the only issue is that if it's your own account that sets up the rule you can't generate an audible notification for yourself, however you can create a "bot account" under which to create your rules and enjoy that flexibility. Using that you could configure multiple notifications as a due date approaches.
