Creating a card automatically

Priya Ekbote October 5, 2021

Is there a way in Trello by which a card can be created automatically. If suppose there is an email id set in Trello and any email sent to this email id would then create a card automatically in Trello.

Want to use Trello to handle application support. So this would be a useful feature.

Thanks

Hi Priya! Yes, each board has a unique email address, so when forwarding an email to this address, it will automatically generate a card for you with the email details. There's an article that explains email to board in more detail here: https://help.trello.com/article/809-creating-cards-by-email

Hi @Priya Ekbote

Yes, you can use Trello's email-to-board feature for this. Or you can try the Hipporello Service Desk power-up. It can benefit you in two ways.

1. Hipporello creates a unique Trello card for every received email automatically. You can define an email-to-board address, and then forward your emails to the email address created by Hipporello to push every email message into a Trello card.

2. You can reply to these emails from inside the relevant Trello card without leaving Trello.

You can also configure custom outgoing email settings. For details on how to do these, see our support page.

(Hipporello Service Desk also allows you to publish forms online and receive form submissions in your Trello board).

Hope this helps,

Cigdem
