Counting Cards in Columns: Power Up Needed! (3rd Party NOT an Option!)

Lori January 12, 2021

Does Trello plan to enable any type of column counter power-up?

As IT departments begin to restrict Chrome extensions, many Trello features that I and others like me have relied on are no longer a feasible option.

As a team who has dozens of cards per column, knowing at a glance how many are in each column as well as the board as a whole is of the utmost importance to our project management duties. (Who really wants to count 80+ cards in a column each day?)

A report could work but even then we archive dozens of cards a week; having to sort through CSV data can be quite cumbersome to get the totals we need.

Thank you!

Hi @Lori ,

You can try out this power-up:

Set the limit to the max!

Much appreciated!

This helps for the board as a whole.

When I start filtering by user or other parameters, it doesn't take those filters into account. So again, hopefully Trello will add a much needed power up!

Another way to do it is to just type "F" and then "*". More details here.
