Copied Trello board has links to cards from original board - copied hyperlinked cards do not update

Hoping for a quick fix to issue:

  1. I create Trello board, with a checklist containing hyperlinks to cards within the list + board (see image below)
  2. I copy the Trello board
  3. The newly copied Sub-tasks list contains hyperlinks to cards on the original Trello board (not the newly copied board).

At the moment, I have to manually update each newly copied hyperlinked card.

I am hoping there's a faster way to achieve an updated, hyperlinked list that contains hyperlinks to the current board (and no the previous/original board).

Any help is appreciated!!!

@Ryan Browne is there any relationship between the "parent" card and the "child" cards nested within the checklist? For example, they share the same label, they're all contained in the same list, etc.

It is possible to collect cards and add them to a checklist as linked items using butler automation.

You would need some way to clear the checklist items, then collect the relevant cards and add them to the checklist.

For example, you might have a card button that clears the checklist and then collects all the cards with the same label as the parent card and adds them as checklist items.

Or, if you're able to share more information about your workflow, I could suggest some other solutions. It might make more sense to start with a template that doesn't contain the checklist items, then, some process can begin that adds all the checklist items, dates, etc.
