Commenting Permissions - Admin only

Josh Thayne October 2, 2019

Is there any way to set comment permissions so that only board admins can comment? I want comments allowed by specific people, but not every member on the board.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi @Josh Thayne ,

You can restrict who has access to add comments in the "Add Comments" permission for that project's permission scheme. You will want to have your site admin create a project role for Board Admins first (Administration, Jira, Project Role (under the Security heading.)

Once the role is created add the board admins to that role (in the project settings under People) and add the role to the Add Comment permission.

Hope this helps,

-Scott
