Checklist Automation duplicating?

Kirstin Cole August 11, 2022

I have a Rule setup to add a checklist when a card is added to "List A" (we'll call it).

I want a Card Button that moves the card back to "List A" and unchecks the items on that checklist.

The problem is, when I hit that Card Button, it is also duplicating the checklist because of the first set Rule, which added it.

Is there a way to say like "if Checklist XYZ already exists, do not add again" ?

Hi @Kirstin Cole

The best way for you to do this would be to add a label to your cards that haven't got a checklist on them and then amend the butler rule so that it will look for when a card with the label is added to the list instead of when any card is added to the list.

You can then also add an action to it so that it will remove this label once it's added the checklist.

Great idea, thank you!
