Changes coming to Trello plans

Jessie March 18, 2024

Hello! Pretty soon my Trello board will become view only as Trello is changing their plans.

With view-only boards, can viewers make a copy to save to their own Trello accounts?

Thank you!

Hi @Jessie

The view only is only happening for free workspaces that have >10 collaborators from 20th May onwards...

I would suggest option:

A) Between now and May 20th, restructure your workspace so that you could have perhaps a small number of standard members and the rest as single-board guests.  Trello Standard is well worth the money and this will ensure you have the possibility of unlimited collaborators (note, those workspace members and multi-board guests are chargeable)

B) Between now and May 20th, allow those board members to take a copy of the board to their own workspace, this idea is not ideal for collaboration though...

Yes, I have a free workspace. I don't need people to be able to collaborate - in face, I'd prefer they can't.

I used Trello to create a workflow I want to share with others. Will these new view-only members be able to make a copy of that workflow?

Do you happen to have an example of what a view-only board looks like?

Thank you!
