Change board admin to an existing team admin

Our previous board admin has left the company but is still the 'admin' on all of our boards while the rest of us are only 'normal' members. I am an admin on the team, but not the boards. Is there a way to change which team member is an admin on the boards without getting in touch with the previous board admin?

@alex-phillips nope, but you can just copy the board and leave the old one. If you're worried about data access etc. just move the lists to another board.

Thanks for the reply, but we also need to preserve the archived items. I just attempted a copy of a board and the new board had no archived items. Is there a way to preserve that too?
