'Cards' view for employees

Robert Jericho June 2, 2021

The 'cards' view - https://trello.com/{username}/cards - is fantastic for users cutting across multiple projects.

As a manager, is there a way to have this view for my employees to manage them in a 1:1 meeting?

I've looked at using Butler to duplicate cards they've been assigned to but that just leads to a non-fully mirrored mess.  If I add in Unito, its another thing to buy (get approved, pay for, etc) and manage in a non-automated card by card fashion.

Any ideas in the Trello-verse?

@Robert Jericho You can create a list in your board called "Staff dashboards" and then paste in a link for each staff member, just put their username into the URL.

When you view someone else's profile you'll see any cards they're a member of that you have access to.

For example any cards that I'm a member of on any public boards or boards we share would show up here:

Hi Robert! Do you have Trello business? The Team tables feature would give you a consolidated view which you could filter based in member.

If you're able to get Unito approved, their main offering, Board Sync, would probably be better suited. You could look at creating personal boards for each of your team members and sync cards automatically from multiple projects into their own personal board based on the member of the card. The individual could then just work out of one board and not be spread out over many. You're also able to build management overview boards if you're looking to view many projects in one view. There are lots of different use-cases that can be beneficial from a manager's point of view, as well as individual team members.

We do but the team tables is super clunky - can only have 10 projects and it seems you have to bookmark the page rather than have it be standard as a report or saved to your team.

Knowing that Unito's board sync can be conditional based on the user is a help. Thanks for the feedback

No worries! Hopefully you can get Unito approved. Until then, going to Workspace settings>>Members>>selecting the "on X boards" next to the member>>see all workspace cards sounds like the best free alternative
