Can I set up an automation to email comments directly to customers?

What I am looking for is to be able to make a comment in our customer's card such as an update on the project and have that comment get automatically emailed out to the customer email so they being updated constantly as the project moves along and the notes are made in Trello, but we don't want all the notes sent out. Is there a way to add a trigger such as adding (@ customer) to the end of the comments and only those get emailed to the customer. We could even add a custom field with just the customer's email so it can chose that email specifically and sent it out?

It is possible with our Power-Up. You can send emails from your Trello card, but we also have a feature that allows you to send an email by posting a comment - for example @email (will send a new email with the comment you post) and @reply (will reply to the last email with the comment you post). Any other comments that don't use the @email/@reply syntax, won't send as emails. You can read about how it works here, or sign up for a free trial and give it a try.

This is super handy when combined with automation because you can set a rule to post a comment based on a trigger. For example, post a comment when a card is moved to a certain list/custom field status is updated. When the comment is posted, an email will be sent.
