Can I make universal changes to templates in Trello?

I have 4 groups using a template that is almost the same, slightly tailored for each group. Is there a way to link the 5 templates (master template and 4 group-specific templates) so that when I make a change on one, the same change is made on all of them?

I have basic Trello and I'm not in a position to upgrade.

Marta here, from Trello Support.

While it is not possible to achieve that right now, you can add links to the original cards from the master template on every group-specific template as a Trello attachment. That will let your different groups easily refer back to them and check if any changes have been made.
