Bulk Delete Users

Raven Clarke November 9, 2020

Does anyone know of a way to bulk delete users who have Trello accounts within the Atlassian instance?  All documentation and APIs provided by Support address deleting users with access to Jira/Confluence products but not Trello.

Hi Raven,

do you want to remove a member from an organisation within Trello (this is described here and could be done along with some basic scripting also by means of a bulk update) or do you want to delete an useraccount from Atlassian Access completely?
In the latter case the specific configuration changes differs for managed vs. unmanaged accounts.

Cheers,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your reply!

We want to delete user accounts from Atlassian Access completely.  These users are no longer with the company and need to be removed from our Atlassian instance including every product they currently have access to using their corporate email address.

Question, how can I find out if they are managed vs. unmanaged accounts?

Hi Raven,

it will depend if you are using an Identity Provider (like Active Directory) or if the accounts are "just" managed accounts.

The following guide describes this better - going through these steps you can easily determine if they are managed accounts or not:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/delete-a-managed-account-961259516.html

If you do not have the option to delete the accounts there then they are either unmanaged (only the user that created the account can manage it) or you need to do it via Identity Provider (f.e. Active Directory).

Cheers,
Daniel
