Best way to manage project with multiple subprojects?

Hi, I have a very large project that is made up of about 8 smaller projects. My boss wants to see progress all in one place. If each of the 8 smaller projects have their own boards what's the best way to see them all together? Or is it better to have them all on the same board with different color codes? Each of the smaller projects will go through the same steps, but they all need to be completed within the timeframe/schedule of the larger project. There's also two or three people who are on all of the smaller projects (and thus, the larger one where all the smaller ones feed), and then about 2 people per project who are only working on their smaller part. My boss wants to know when (or if) each of the smaller projects have hit each of their deadlines, and how that adds up to the whole bit project. Any advice on the best way to set this up?

You can create a set of automations to create a "Parent/Child" card relationship through card linking.  This can be done through triggered automation or card button.

It would allow you to create a "Parent" card manually and then use a button/trigger to create however many "child" cards you would need.  This would allow your boss to open up the parent card and see a quick overview of the child card status, which would most easily be achieved through colored labels or checklists.  For example:
