Hello,
For some reason, on the Mac desktop version of this app, despite removing the app I can't seem to get past a loop where it's trying to get me to sign in via google but it's not working and google spits back an error anyways. It's locked me out the app but luckily still able to access via web. My actual Trello account is an Atlassian account so you can see how this is a big problem for me. I think it might have stemmed from me trying to link my google account when pasting some google docs in a card. Somehow this has made its way to the login screen. Very odd!
Any help appreciated.
Hi Ben,
Thanks for reaching out! Glad to hear the issue has been resolved.
We can't speak for third-party services but would recommend uninstalling the desktop app following the steps here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/how-to-uninstall-the-trello-desktop-app/.
That would ensure you have the most recent version of the app and that there is no leftover data from previous versions.
Please let us know if you have any other questions, and we'll be happy to help.
All the best,
Lara

Ok managed to fix this, it was what I thought was the issue luckily. Whilst I couldn't actually fix the bug without nuking the entire app and any associated files, nuking it fixed it. I've been able to login since reinstalling the app after the nuking.
I knew there'd be cache/preference files probably sticking about causing any reinstallation to fail so I ended up using AppCleaner to find any associating folders/files and used it to remove said files which fixed the issue logging in as I've been presented with the usual welcome and login screen from a fresh install. It's free and seems safe, it might not let you delete all files but it will let you open the folder so you can remove manually.
