Dear Trello Support Team, My name is Lili, and I am a user of Trello's free plan. I currently have 10 boards, which is the maximum allowed for free users. I have a couple of questions and issues I would like your assistance with.
1. If I am invited by a friend to join their board as a guest, without the ability to modify the board, should I still be able to join even though I’ve reached my personal limit of 10 boards?
2. I encountered a problem when I was invited to a friend's board. Some of the cards on the board contain attachments that I am unable to open. I tried removing and re-adding the star to the cards, but the attachments still do not appear. I also logged out and logged back in, but the issue persists. Could you help me understand why this is happening and how to resolve it?
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Lili
Hi Lili, welcome to the Trello Community!
Thank you for sharing your context. It's very helpful! Correct, free Trello Workspaces have a limitation of 10 open boards per free Workspace. But I think you're confusing that with the limit of 10 Collaborators per free Workspace.
To answer your questions below:
1. You mentioned that your friend is adding you to their board, in their free Workspace, as an Observer. Is that correct? If your friend's free Workspace has not reached a limit of 10 Collaborators, then you can definitely be able to join their board as any type of member. As this is another free Workspace, this is not affected by the limit you have on your own free Workspace. If this helps, you can tell your friend to check how many Collaborators are in their Workspace so they know they are still within the limit.
2. It looks like this may be a problem with your browser. Try logging into Trello in the following ways to see if you can reproduce the issue you are having:
