Are you able to copy checklists from a card on Board One to a card on Board Two?

Eric.Sheydwasser@groupm.com May 14, 2018

Hello Everyone,

In this scenario, please imagine that you have 2 boards that are tailored to different audiences. Board 1 is designed for the team overseeing the work and Board 2 is designed for the leadership team.

The leadership team wishes to use a checklist that was defined and developed in a card associated to Board 1. Is there a way to import that information on to a card that is associated with Board 2?

Currently, I only see the option to import checklists that are associated with cards on that existing board.

Thanks.

Hi Eric

You are correct, when adding a checklist and using a copy, it's only from checklists already on the same board.

But... you can create a new card on board 1 and add a checklist - creating it from a copy. Then move that card to Board 2.. the checklist moves over as well and now becomes part of Board 2.  So as long as that checklist remains live somewhere on Board 2, it can be used to add to cards on that board.
