I have premium license, i cant tell you how much frustrated the entire team is after we woke up in the morning and found all the workspace washed by our member over misunderstanding.

Working in a team you can not control characters but as a tool, a software admin  should have permission and ability to limit access to members.

Who ever is reading this, trello is only simple to use but NOT secure at all!

With the normal permission, a user can Archive, Delete Boards and cards.

Our entire workspace notes, files, references are gone, So strange.

Hi @Israel Atlantis

To protect your project against such events caused by human errors in the future, consider trying a third-party backup solution like FluentPro Backup for Trello. I represent FluentPro, and our platform offers advanced automated backup and restore functionality. The backup process operates in the background, constantly saving new versions whenever changes are made. In case of data loss or corruption, users can quickly recover it from a previous backup version.

Hey Israel, try not to get too frustrated, just yet.

First, you will need to check your settings for your Work-spaces, where you have settings for "Board creation restrictions" and some settings for "Board deletion restrictions" So, base on these settings that you may have here, your board, list and cards may not have been deleted, after all.  For the moment, let's hope for the best, and prepare for the worse.

Let's just hope that they "Closed the Board".  Closing a board, can easily and mistakenly be done through the "Drop down Menu" as a result of clicking on the 3 dots, to the far, top, right side of the board.

So now, if you go to the Work-space, where you can view for all of your open boards, you need to stroll down below to a Link that opens a window displaying all the boards that were closed, and It's here, within this window, were you can view all of the closed boards, you may have, with the given options to Delete or Reopen, any of these currently closed boards.

Good Luck!

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

There are two things you should do here:

  • Question why you gave access to the person who did this, and why they used "delete" rather than "archive".
  • Raise a support request with Atlassian - they may be able to recover a lot of it from a backup.  Visit and use the last contact option on the page (the ones higher on the page refer you to documentation or take you back here to the community)
