Adding more info in BCC line while creating cards by email

I would like to BCC Trello when sending external emails, and at the same time to add private comments to my related card, which will not appear in the subject or the body.

Is that possible somehow?

EDIT: Maybe I can add my custom text inside the address in the BCC? This way instead of "<username>+<hash>" I will use "<username>+<hash>+<custom_text_to_get_into_the_card>". (Maybe it can be at least a nice feature-request?)

Hi @pavelstessin ,

You can use Hipporello for this. We have email to board functionality, where you will have a custom email address, and once emails to that address are received, they will appear on the specific list you have picked as cards.

So, you can add this address to BCC, and a copy of your sent email will appear on your board as a card, where you can attach comments, tag colleagues, i.e. do whatever possible on a Trello card.

You can read our blog post to check out how it works.

Great to know! Seems to help well in slightly different use cases from what I meant.

If I understand you correctly, you want to send email eg using gmail to client with bcc Trello mail board.
Trello mail to board takes in subject to be the card name plus add #labels and @member to card and email body goes into description on a card on a designated list on the board. It does not allow you to add to comment nor hide anything from your client since it will be from a gmail account.

Currently working with a client to sent email using a template that picks up values from CF from a card. On that template it include a mail to board in the bcc. This to have a copy of the email sent back to the board and to create a link from the originating card the newly created mail-to-board card. Since the template selects only what you want to send to the client, the rest of the data on the card is ‘hidden’ from the client. The card also records the client approval via a URL on the email as a comment on the card.
