API or live data download from Trello

Is there a way to pull various data out of Trello via an API or some other method? I know you can export data but would like to do it real time and skip the export.

I'm not 100% sure exactly what I have in mind but one example is I have a dashcard that tracks cards that have been open for longer that three days. I want to capture that every day and graph that data. I want to be able to do this inside our ERP where we track a plethora of other metrics.

I've already done this with machine metrics by using Excel Power Query and refresh and then pulling that data into our ERP. Just wondering if we had any similar options with Trello.

I can help you do this, I suggest you create a Google spreadsheet and a web application script. Configure trello to send data and write to a table. I’ve been using similar systems in my business for three years, it’s incredibly convenient and reliable.

If by data you meant only text and digital data, then everything is okay, but if you need to save files from cards, then this is a little more complicated and will require storage space.

You can always use Trello automation to schedule your own program to export the data you need.

OK, thank you very much everyone. Looks like I have a couple options here to look into. I just didn't want to spend a whole lot of time attempting to do this to find out it can't be done.
