Migration to Atlassian Accounts
For years, Trello accounts have existed as standalone accounts. Today, as an Atlassian-owned organization, we plan to migrate all Trello Enterprise end-users onto the Atlassian platform throughout the first half of 2021.

Migrating your users to Atlassian accounts will be voluntary to start. Admins are encouraged to proactively migrate their Enterprise users beginning March/April 2021. Migrations will be automatic for all outstanding accounts in June 2021. Going through the migration voluntarily will give you more control over the timing and allow you to better prepare your users for the Product changes outlined below.

Product Change Details
All Users will be required to reduce to a single email associated with their Trello account Trello will prompt users to make this change on their own accounts. Trello will also provide a way for you (the admin) to make these changes on behalf of your users.
Switching between Trello Enterprise & personal Trello accounts now available Once migrated to an Atlassian account, all users can now switch between work (Trello Enterprise) and personal Trello accounts using the Account Switcher in the account menu.
Enterprise-managed users can now be managed, deactivated, or deleted by Atlassian admins If your company also has a greater Atlassian instance (products like Jira or Confluence) then your Trello Enterprise users can also be managed, deactivated, or deleted by your company’s Atlassian admin.

We encourage Trello Enterprise admins claim their company domain in Atlassian’s admin portal to receive Atlassian-level permissions via admin.atlassian.com
Updated Login Experience If SSO is currently enforced for your instance of Trello Enterprise, users will need to log in twice: once via Trello SSO and then once again to verify their Atlassian account.

If SSO is not enforced or disabled for Trello, the user only needs to log in once through their Atlassian account.

As an Admin, you will be able to directly request the migration for your users in the coming months. You will be able to do so directly within Trello Enterprise. Trello will send a follow-up email when this is available.

When you opt-in, all of your users will be migrated. This is a one-time migration. Once your Enterprise has been migrated, any further signups of new users onto your Trello instance will be registered to Atlassian accounts automatically.

No Immediate Action Required. Be on the lookout for an additional email with migration instructions in the coming months.

We appreciate your flexibility and support as we continue to evolve Trello as a product that helps drive collaboration and productivity for your teams. As always, thank you for being a Trello customer!

Beta Test Opportunity: New Trello Views
Trello is introducing additional ways to view your work in the coming months. We’re gearing up to launch new views such as a Calendar View, a Timeline View, and more. We want to invite you to opt-in to these new features early as one of our valued Trello Enterprise customers. If this is something that interests you, please contact us to get early access.

Butler Is Now Accessible From The Card Back
We’ve made Butler, our in-product automation tool, even easier to access! You can now add card buttons (with templated suggestions) to automate tasks directly from your Trello cards from the Butler section on the card back. We plan to continue improving the ways you can interact with Butler across a Trello board. Stay tuned for more updates as we continually bring these updates to Trello boards.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

New Users Start With A Team
Immediately following the sign-up form, all users will be asked to create a team, name it, and invite others to join. Their first board created during sign up will be saved in that newly created team. For your managed users, these new teams can be absorbed into your Enterprise by selecting the team from the Non-Enterprise Teams section on the Admin Dashboard. Please contact us if you have any questions about this update and your Enterprise.
