Team member cannot view JIRA board but is project member (next-gen)

Michelle Pliskin August 23, 2019

One of my team members is a project administrator in our next-gen JIRA project. He is able to create issue/view issues. He is unable to see our JIRA board and backlog.

Has anyone else run into this issue. really not sure why it's happening as all other team members are able to view this and even have just 'member' level permissions. PLEASE HELP as this is a blocker for us!!

Thanks,

Michelle

Hi @Michelle Pliskin

Check the filter that the board is pulling from. It was likely created by someone else and not shared with that user or project.

Thanks, Scott!

We actually discovered at the platform-level this user did not have permission to view any JIRA board (called a 'JIRA Software' permission). We troubleshot this by seeing if he could view other boards in other projects, he could not.

We got his permissions granted at the highest level and he is now able to see boards!
