Why can't I be "present" in to two Stride teams at once?

A big reason we are putting up with the long delay for Stride is that the main pain-point for HipChat was the inability to collaborate across multiple teams.

 

I am now in 2 Stride test teams but it seems that I can only be "present" in one at a time. This completely defeats the object, meaning I get no notification that something has happened in the other team, even if I am directly mentioned. It's also not feasible to quickly check the status of the other team because of the long load times when switching teams.

 

Are there plans to fix this?
