Stride desktop - Turn off auto hide

I am using the desktop version of Stride (1.19.60), during a call, the bottom bar where the share screen and mute buttons are located, I noticed that it's auto hide by default:

Is there a way to disable the bar not to auto hide? I found it very inconvenient in the situation I need to constantly mute and unmute my mic when the bar is hidden.

Thank you.

Hi, Steven.

Pressing the ? button will show the following pop up that lists the set of keyboard shortcuts that you can utilize within the meeting:

In our case here, may I recommend the usage of the shortcut m to either mute / unmute your microphone without having the need to navigate to the bottom bar? I tested this on my end and it is working well. When muted, you will be indicated by the muted mic icon on the top right corner of the meeting screen. For example:

Please let me know how it goes on your end. If you still prefer to have the bar visible, let me know and I will be happy to raise a Suggestion on your behalf to address this to the dev team.

Thank you Ahmad, the shortcut works for me but would be awesome if auto-hide is configurable, users do not need to remember too many shortcuts.

Hi, Steven.

You are most welcome. I understand the use case that you have on your hand to at least have the option to configure the visibility of the call bar. With that, I went ahead and raised the following request to keep track of this publicly:

I encourage you to visit the suggestion page linked above and click the Vote and Watch links near the top right to show support for the feature. By doing this, it will ensure you are proactively informed of progress and updates going forward.

Feedbacks are also appreciate. You can do this by leaving a comment on the ticket as this helps us prioritize & understand the use case of the feature request. Hope that helps.

Thank you Ahmad, fantastic.
