Stride Group functionality

Derek Fields Community Leader Oct 18, 2017

What is the plan for Stride groups? Currently, the functionality appears to be limited to determining whether a member has sign-in and/or admin access.

I would like to see Groups support:

  • @mentions
  • room membership - anyone in a specific group has access to the room without having to add each individual
  • more granular security (e.g., read-only groups, delegated admin privileges)

Hi Derek,

1. We actually are already working on aliases for groups. For example, you will be able to @mention a group and that whole group/team is notified.

2. That's a great suggestion! We'd love it if you would submit that as a suggestion here:

3. We have secure rooms today; meaning only members can read and participate in conversations there. As for more granular security control, we have some things on our roadmap!

For reference: Before even finding this community thing I created a ticket for I think 2+3: :)
