Stride Desktop app marks most words as misspelled

Almost every word I type gets the red misspelled underline as you can see in the screenshot

I've reinstalled multiple times to no avail, I'm stuck using the web app.

Hi, Adrian!

I confirmed on my end that the spell check works fine as per the following screen shot (Mac, Web, Windows client):

Screen Shot 2018-04-11 at 07.17.13.pngDo you happen to use the US keyboard as your native layout on your OS or do you happen to have more than 1 type of keyboard set up on your machine?

Using US keyboard layout

Thanks for confirming. I am on Windows 7 and did not run into the same problem. Perhaps other users on Windows 10 might be able to shed more light on this to confirm if they run into the same issue or not.

I just started having this issue as well.  Any solution?

Hi, Chris.

Can you confirm which version of Windows that you are running on? I want to see if this is an issue with the client itself or rather the configuration on the OS level.

I've had this problem for a week.

I finally solved it this way:

Uninstall Stride
Delete C:\Users\(user)\AppData\Roaming\Stride
Delete C:\Users\(user)\AppData\Local\Stride
Redownload and reinstall Stride

I imagine the solution is similar for Mac users - uninstall the app, track down every directory it stored anything in and nuke that too, then reinstall a fresh copy.
