Stride - Custom DNS verification when TXT record for SFP Already Exists

Vlad Skarzhevskyy December 7, 2017

We already have TXT record at root of our domain.

"v=spf1 include:  ..."

How can we add verification   ??

Tried to create resource record set [name='mydomain.com.', type='TXT'] but it already exists

I received a response on this from Atlassian Support it solved my issue.

You can add the Authentication Token to the end of the SPF TXT record by adding the TEXT string with a new line.  I test the SPF record with MXTOOLBOX and no issues reports.  The Atlassian Domain verification also worked fine with the authentication token appended to the SPF record.

If you put the Atlassian Authentication token after the SPF string with only a space, then the MXTOOLBOX record will fail.  It needs a newline to separate the strings.
