How to create a stride action message from inside an app?

Lars July 12, 2018

I want to generate a message that represents an "action" (adding the checkbox which can be clicked and marked as "completed").

I found this entry in the message documentation: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/stride/apis/document/marks/action/

First, the example code is incomplete. But you can guess what should be there compared with other examples.

Second, I'm not sure if this is the right message format because when I copy the example code into the document viewer at https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/stride/apis/document/viewer/

there is no checkbox in front of the message but instead the message text transformed into a link.

So my question is: How can I add the action "mode"? Are this still in development? There exists a decisison node/item, too: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/stride/apis/document/nodes/decisionItem/

Ok, I found it out now by using the message inspector inside Stride.

The answer is simple: The entity which is called "action" inside the Stride app (frontend) is called "task" in the message format and therefore can be found under https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/stride/apis/document/nodes/taskItem/ in the documentation...

This is very confusing and should be mention somewhere or better be used consistent.
