How to change profile picture in chat room

All members in chat have the same icon. Is there a way to make it to our profile pic so we know at a glance who it it?

You mentioned chat but Confluence doesn't have a chat feature. Can you confirm what software you're using for chat? Is it Stride or Hipchat, or are you using a 3rd party add-on?

Thank you for confirming that. In Stride, you can set your profile picture (also known as an avatar) by editing your profile:

Can you have a look there and let me know if you have any trouble setting your avatar image?

You can set your profile image but it does not show in the chat, just the standard blue head and shoulders icon shows even if you have a picture set.

Right now there's an issue where avatar updates might take a day or so to propagate, and so we've reported it as a bug here:

• STRIDE-1791

How long ago did you update the profile picture? If this is the bug you're running into, please vote on it, since it shows the developers how many users have run into the problem.
